Florida Men Seeking $500 Million Loan Arrested
Michael Zapetis, Miami, Florida and Michael D. Shuda, 49, Lake Worth, Florida were arrested Tuesday on charges of first-degree grand theft arising from allegations that they tried to steal $500 million from a New Jersey-based lender. Apparently, they were attempting to obtain loans to build 10 new cities in Venezuela based on a falsified $1 billion bond they offered as collateral.
