The preliminary hearing in the Poconos indictments continued on Friday. Dana Kleintop, a former employee of Eagle Valley Homes testified that, after purchasers signed a purchase contract at one price, Eagle Valley Homes would routinely 'transfer' the signatures (by photocopying, tracing or having another person sign) to another contract showing a higher purchase price. Numerous customers testified that they did not sign certain documents or that signatures were not theirs. In a taped conversation between Dana Kleintop and Anita Petersen, Petersen admitted to 'weeding through' documents before producing them to authorities.
The judge found probable cause existed on the forgery and perjury charges against Lauren Erb (a former bookeeper at Eagle Valley Homes) and the charges of forgery and tampering with public records against Anita Peterson (owner of Mountain Valley Abstract.)
The preliminary hearing for Donald Kishbaugh, Kimberly Loffo, Rose Perdue and Steve Parisi will continue Monday.
