License of Georgia Mortgage Broker Revoked

Thursday, July 13 2006 02:50

On July 11, 2006, the Georgia Department of Banking and Finance’s decision to revoke the mortgage broker’s license of Dream House Funding, Inc., license number 16072, located at 4854 Old National Highway, Suite 210A, College Park, Georgia 30337 became final.

This notice of intent to revoke license was issued by the Department after it obtained evidence that Dream House Funding, Inc. made false statements or misrepresented material facts to lenders, employed felons, engaged in residential mortgage broker/lending activities with an unlicensed entity, failed to maintain a loan file for each mortgage loan transaction and failed to properly maintain a loan transaction journal.

In conjunction with the issuance of this notice of intent to revoke, the Department issued a cease and desist order to Lewis Jackson, Sr. of College Park, Georgia. This cease and desist order became final on June 1, 2006.
