Laura Anderson-Mota, 41, and German Moreno-Ledesma, 43, both of Downey, California, were arrested on felony charges of forgery and filing a false instrument stemming from identity theft.
On March 4, 2005, the victim attempted to purchase a car in the City of South Gate, California. The victim soon discovered that her identity had been used to purchase a duplex in the 8900 block of Date Street, Fontana, California. She filed a crime report with the Huntington Park Police Department. The crime report was then forwarded to the San Bernardino County District Attorney's Real Estate Fraud Prosecution Unit.
Both Mota and Ledesma were transported and booked at the Sheriff's West Valley Detention Center, in Rancho Cucamonga, California, on $500,000 bail for each of them.
