Interthinx recently wrapped production on their next free mortgage fraud detection training film, Fraud Angels

(I know because I was there for the filming and even managed to cajole my way into a one-liner in the film . . .)

Similar to its predecessor, Fraud Angels has been created in parody format to deliver more advanced, technical training material in an accessible way for today’s mortgage company employees and legal authorities.

Over 30 mortgage industry professionals dropped competitive boundaries to volunteer their time as story consultants and/or participants in the creation of this very important film. (Many additional boundaries were dropped as cast, crew and an industry few shared drinks and dinner after the filming . . .)

Fraud Angels focuses on a foreclosure rescue con artist in Minnesota and a family run real estate investment club in California that are mysteriously tied together. Though Fraud Angels was inspired by actual events, the film is fictional and does not depict an actual person or event.

The goal of this training DVD by Interthinx is to provide the financial industry with yet another effective and timely tool designed for maximum adult learning retention by way of "edutainment". The 35 minute film is followed by multiple DVD chapters on the specific “red flags” covered in the film, emerging mortgage fraud schemes and the latest technology to fight fraud.

The Mortgage Bankers Association will premiere the Interthinx film at the National Fraud Issues Conference on March 13th at the first day luncheon. (I'll be there, and I hope to see all of you!)

This training film looks interesting. It would help educate our clients at debt advisory program in preventing damaging fraud.

I'm very excited about this! FSI was great. When you see something so creative and well-done, you tend to remember what was in much better.

Thanks for the coverage, Rachel! The creative team is busy editing the film as I type this. It's coming along and will hopefully convey how easily someone can be duped or lured into committing mortgage fraud and why training and technology are critical for lenders to fight off today's criminals. Thanks, again!
