Sentencing Continued For New York Developer

Ivy Woolf-Turk, 52, Port Washington, New York, a Manhattan real estate developer who, as previously reported by Mortgage Fraud Blog, pleaded guilty to participating in a $27 million mail and wire fraud conspiracy, will be sentenced on September 23, 2009.

Woolf-Turk was originally scheduled to be sentenced on May 27, 2009.  On May 20, 2009, Defense counsel requested a sentencing continuance for Ivy Woolf-Turk. The court granted the request. Woolf-Turk is now set to be sentenced September 23, 2009 at 4:00 p.m.

    She will do most of the 5 years. There is no such thing as parole in the federal system.

    How sad that Judge Buchwald only sentenced Ivy to 5 years, which she will only do about 1/3. I am sure that we will all suffer longer than the short amount of time that she was sentenced to. No justice was served here.
