Daniel P. Meachum, 44, doing business as Your Mortgage Connection at 2232 S. 11th St. in Niles, Michigan, was arrested Monday on felony embezzlement charges. Meachum is alleged to have misappropriated loan proceeds due to at least three borrowers. There may be additional victims.

Well, I heard a bit of interesting and actually sickening information yesterday. Apparently Mr. Meachum is in the mortgage business again. I dont know if the judge that was on the bench for his trial quit or what but his comments during the trial were "you will never be allowed to work in a financially related business ever again as long as Im a judge". Here we are 2 years later...a couple of months in jail...several months probation...the lady he was to pay restitution for passed away.....that cut it in half. HE got that paid off (with more then likely someone elses money) and hes back to doing mortgages.
